Interswitch’s 2009 annual Techno-Interactive Conference

Interswitch hosted the 2009 annual Techno-Interactive Conference & Awards in the serene town of Calabar, Cross River state recently. The event lived up to its billings as executives from the Government, Banks, Card personalization, Biometric and identification companies from Nigeria, South Africa, Turkey and United Kingdom set aside time to attend what has become the annual convergence of the movers and shakers of financial institutions in the e-payment/card industry.

InterSwitch and its partners displayed new revolutionary electronic payment systems, now available in Nigeria. These include Automated Bus Transportation system, Loyalty and Gift card with Instant chip card issuance and artwork system, Petrol Payment and Retail Payment. The conference displayed InterSwitch’s philosophy of ‘Work Hard, Play Hard’, as presentations made by international and indigenous speakers were interspersed with site visits, tours and an award night in honour of the contributions of the banking industry to the success of e-payments.

In addition, the Governor of Cross River State, Senator Liyel Imoke accompanied by his special adviser, Mr. Nzan Ogbe added Verve to the African night theme party anchored by Basketmouth while Lagbaja and his band thrilled the audience with his brand of music.
