Coupon Vs. Groupon – as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. The great thing about the Groupon is that I can get a higher amount of savings. With a regular coupon, I will maybe get off of a purchase but, with a Groupon, I am always going to save at least 50% on my purchase. The problem is I do have to pay for the Groupon on the day that it comes out. They are daily deals, they only last for one day. So, if I do not have the money to buy it on the day that it is available, then I miss out. With a regular coupon, you could just save it and redeem it when you do have the money to use it. They are mobile, the Groupons are mobile, so I could have it on my mobile phone and scan it at the retailer. I do not have to keep paper trash in my purse or worry about keeping track of them. They do give you a database to keep track of all your coupons on a password website so that you do not have to print them all out and carry them all around; you can wait until your going to use them to print them. Another nice thing about the Groupon is that you can actually earn credit for telling your friends about it. So, if I tell 5 of my friends and they each buy one, I will get credit for each one. That gives me credit to spend at Groupon. So, a regular paper coupon is not going to do that for you.
