100 times faster than fastest micro-chip on market today are on the way. A 500 GHz Silicon-Germanium Chip was demonstrated by IBM and Georgia Tech. Also in the news, NanoSolar’s solar cells are being deployed by Google on a mass scale to produce electricity for their search-engines. This is the largest deployment of solar cells to produce upto 430 Mega-Watts of electricity. Current capacities of solar generated electricity is about 1700 Mega-Watts world wide.
